Payment system office framework

The Payment System Office operates under 3 major plans: 1) A strategic plan The Thai Bankers' Association 2) Bank of Thailand Payment System Strategic Plan (Payment Roadmap) and 3) Strategic Plan for Development of National Electronic Payment System Infrastructure (National e-Payment Master Plan) will be utilized as guides ways to drive operations in accordance with numerous strategies that have been given out

The Payment Systems Office also emphasizes communication to build cooperation among 4 associations: Thai Bankers’ Association (TBA), Government Financial Institutions Association (GFA), Association of International Banks (AIB) and Thai Electronic Transactions Association (TEPA) under the Payment Industry Collaboration committee to jointly drive various projects for alignment

Additionally, for member banks to realize the importance of cyber threat management, The Payment Systems Office has driven operations under the Thailand Banking “Sector CERT”.

Importantly, The Payment Systems Office has an additional mission of leveraging electronic transactions which is driving the National Digital ID (NDID) project for widespread usage and expanding usage scope in both public and business sectors.
